Casa Colonial Miguel y Ana Doris
My review: When we have been in this casa Miguel and his wife were in holiday, but Miriam, the sister of Miguel, is very available for every our need.
The rooms have shower and air conditioner all.The cleansing is optimal.
We stayed here 6 days at the beginning of our travel and 3 days before the departure.
The breakfast is rich and varied, good for all the kind of taste, especially if you like fruits.
When, after a long trip until Santiago, our flight was 7 h. in late !, Miriam waited us till 4 a.m. for open the door...
Habana vieja is very poor but we had not problems to any hour of the night. The people are very available and when somebody ask money are not insistent and however smile.
We think, if you want to taste the really soul of Habana, this is a good place to stay.

Casa Colonial Miguel y Ana Doris
My review: Very friendly couple, and most accomodating. We missed our first night because of flight problems, and Miguel and Ana Doris were very forgiving. Their house is charming and quirky, with a wonderful central patio and eating space (good breakfast). Our upstairs room was basic and clean, with a refrigerator and access to a private roof area. The bathroom lacked a toilet seat, which unfortuanely is quite common in Havana. The house is very child-friendly; there was a Norwegian couple with two small children staying downstairs, and they were treated like family by Ana Doris. Good, though slightly-removed-from-the-action southern area of Havana Vieja, with close access to the Plaza Vieja. I would recommend this casa for families especially.
