My review: First class casa - spectacular ocean view – great meals – very friendly hosts
Located right by the beach, this casa is worth spending several days (we stayed 4 days). The beautyful garden has nice places to sit and enjoy a drink, or just relax in the hammok, or take a swim in the pool. They serve delicious meals (try fish!). Another beautyful tropical beach ist just one kilometer away. This casa is just a little paradise – we’ll sure come back.

My review: I was pleasantly surprised by the casa upon arrival for my week's stay. I stayed on the second floor in what was like a 2 bedroom apartment. My room had it's own bathroom, comfy queen size bed with fluffy pillows. The water pressure in the bathroom was a little low but wasn't that big a problem, this is common in Cuba. There was a kitchen with full size fridge and burner for use to cook. A common area living room area to relax and watch TV or read a book. The terrace area had tanning loungers and space enough for tables and chairs to sit and have your morning breakfast (available at an additional cost). The hosts don't speak English however I stayed with my fiancé who speaks Spanish and I speak enough to communicate the basics...thank you Rosetta lol. There also was a nice size pool but unfortunately during my stay it wasn't filled, this is important in Guantanamo as beach area is a little bit of a distance, by car we drove 45 minutes outside the city. The ladies picked fresh grapes from the vines growing on the roof and offered them with coffee in the mornings. The hosts own two small chiwawa's that bark at the ring of the outer doorbell but once spoken to by their owners they behave. The Casa is has a secure entrance, you must ring the bell, someone is always available to let you in.

How was your room?: Comfortable bed, sheets changed (twice per stay), towels a little small so bring your own, fluffy pillows, bedside table and lamp, dresser drawer and closet for hanging clothes, air conditioner and own bathroom.
How was the food they offer?: coffee was delicious, grapes were seedy but still good.
Other services they offer: Pool - awaiting part for pump before able to fill pool. |
