Hostal Jose Ramon
The place to stay in Santa Clara is definitely Hostal Jose Ramon. Jose Ramon and his father who both speak English greeted us with open arms and made us feel at home right from the start. This is not a room, it is an apartment with a private entrance, and includes a bedroom, bathroom (with hot shower), kitchen/dining room with fridge and stove and the ever important for the summer months, air conditioning. There is also your own patio on the roof top with a few chairs and a sink. From this wonderful roof top terrace you can see the day to day Cuban life. Jose Ramon is an architect by trade. He designed and built this apartment for himself but later decided to move in downstairs with his parents and rent the apartment. It has some very nice features and is well decorated with very ni! ce antique furniture. It is spotless. The meals are excellent and are brought up to your private dining room at what ever time you would like. For breakfast we had omelets with warm buns that Jose Ramon got fresh every morning. The best bread we have ever had in Cuba. Your omelet is served with a fresh fruit plate as well as juice and coffee. For dinner we sampled the shrimp, pork and chicken. All served with rice and veggies. All meals were well prepared and tasty. The fridge is stocked with beer and soft drinks that are reasonably priced. The Casa is a couple of minutes walk to The Boulevard and Parque Vidal. There are some stores on The Boulevard where you can buy souvenirs as well as beer, rum and other provisions. This is also a great place to see the Cuban life unfold in front of you either by day or night. It is a nice walk to the Che Monument and Mausoleum and to the Tren Blindado. The location of the Casa allows you to enjoy the hustle and bustle of the city of Sa! nta Clara but also is far enough outside that the evenings are! quiet. Jose Ramon and his fiancé Elizabeth who is going to school to become a Doctor joined us for some outings to Discos a few nights and we had a blast. Our experiences at these discos have set plans in motion to learn to salsa Cuban style. We took a 52 Studebaker to get to one of the discos, again a rare experience that life in Cuba offers. We would recommend everyone visiting Santa Clara stay at this Casa Particular, when we return to the area in the future it will definitely be our place to stay. Thank you again to Jose Ramon, Elizabeth and all of his family for making our stay in Santa Clara and our first stay in a Casa Particular so wonderful and full of wonderful memories.

Hostal Jose Ramon
We stayed in Jose Ramon Hostal for two days. We were extremely well attended, we felt like a member of his family.
The Hostal was absolutely comfortable. The suite is awesome , it has a big bathroom. There is a dinning room , a kitchen , but there is room service. You can also enjoy wonderfull terrace uptairs. The breakfast and dinners are excellent and with a great variety of dishes.
We recommended to go, you will never regret it!!!

How was your room?: The room has double bed , air conditioner , electric fan ,a big closet a nice bathroom. Complete modern equiped kitchen . A big terrace upstairs. The most important thing is the privacy this room has.
How was the food they offer?: The breakfast were delicious, juice, fruit, bread and butter , coffee and milk, eggs.
Dinners nutricional, the main dish of the house is roast chicken with chips.
Other services they offer: Laundry , telephone service , internet access, car park , tourist guide , music, cocktails.
Other comments: The Owner is avaible 24 Hours. Hostal conditions in general are fantastic, and best of all , relaxing.

El Hostal Jose Ramon
I visited Cuba for few days. I stayed in a Hostal recommended by a friend of mine.
He told me it was the best hostal in Cuba. Now I assure and confirm is true. What a beautiful place , his parents are very charm ; and they helped me in everything. The place is confortable, lovely and very clean.
I spent hours in the beautiful terrace, overlooking the whole city.
The breakfast and dinners very tasty and abundant ; I recommended to all tourists; you will never forget it if you visit it. Do not miss it !!!!!!

Hostal Jose Ramon
El hostal Jose Ramon es una maravilla hecha realidad. Vivi en Abril dias muy felices en su Hostal, tienen una habitacion muy amplia y comoda . Las cenas son muy excelente al igual que los desayunos muy abundante y te complacen en todo. Tienen muy buen precio para el espacio que se ofertan , todo es muy lindo, la suite es de estilo moderno con un toque colonial muy bien marcado , los muebles del comedor son de estilo colonial y en muy buen estado, tienen un sistema de cocina completo,donde puedes preparate algo si quieres.
agua fria y caliente de primera calidad las 24 horas, los pisos de ceramica de varios colores, las paredes enchapadas en maderas preciosas en teca y la carpinteria de cristal le dan al apto un toque espectacular.
No pense que en Cuba hubiesen Hostales tan impresionante.
El Sr Jose Ramon es arquitecto de profesion y tiene previsto cada detalle. En las varias guias que me mostro de su casa asi lo refleja. Tienen acceso a Internet y te permiten usarlo. Altamente Recomendable.

How was your room?: Es maravilloso lo que mis ojos vieron, habitaciones muy limpias con aire acondicionado, television, closet con caja de seguridad lampara de noche con un jardin en el techo crealo encima de donde duermes tienes un jardin artificial que espectaculo!!!!
How was the food the offer?: Las Cenas son maravillosas,deliciosas,los desayunos con jugo natural,frutas ,cafe-leche pan con mantequilla, huevos o jamon y queso.
Las Cenas con Pescados , pollos y otra gran variedad incluyendo pastas.
Te ofertan entrantes como sopas o cremas ,platos fuertes con patatas fritas,arroz, ensaladas y frutas con un riquisimo postre o cafe si lo desean.
Prepara una riquisima piña colada.
