My review: I had originally reserved with another casa but was moved to this one since there were plumbing problems with original casa. Despite being originally sceptical I was eventually pleasantly surprised. The accommodation is clean and comfortable and the casa family are exceptionally warm and supportive. This was where I spent New Years Eve and it turned out to be a truly memorable experience.
Casa specifics: Fantastic hosts, Comfortable, Cozy, Charming, Safe
Amenities: TV, Airconditioning, Laundry service, Breakfast service, Dinner service, Extra bed available, Bathroom with shower
How was your room?: Clean and comfortable.
How was the food they offer?: Good food that was freshly prepared.
Other services they offer: Laundry and assistance with transfer arrangements.
Other comments: An enjoyable an amiable family to chat to.

My review: This is a small casa but with a perfect location for Habana Vieja. It has two rooms, one upstairs and one downstairs. We had the upstairs room with a double bed, ensuite bathroom, air conditioning, fan and fridge and a view over the street through a tiny window. Our hosts, Chicha and Luis, were friendly, helpful and informative. The accommodation was a bit more squashed than some of the rooms we had in other places, but it was very comfortable and very convenient. We also felt very welcome and relaxed, so much so that we returned to the same place for two nights before catching our flight home. I would recommend this for a stay in Havana.
Casa specifics: Fantastic hosts, Comfortable, No frills, Safe, Children in the house
Amenities: Airconditioning, Private bathroom, Laundry service, Ceiling fan, Breakfast service
How was your room?: Comfortable, convenient, but not very roomy.
How was the food they offer?: We had an excellent breakfast.
Other services they offer: Their laundry service was reasonably priced and efficient.

I just got back from Cuba and would highly recommend staying at the following casa:
She has two rooms both 30CUC a night, one with 2 twin and one with a full sized bed. The room with a full sized has a fantastic AC and kitchenette which is located outside of the main apartment, so it has privacy coming and going. The bathroom is in the hall outside of the main apt. The rm w/ twin beds has an AC that does not work so well, and a private bathroom. You get a key to the main door, so no need to wake anyone up coming home late!
Optional
Breakfast: 3CUC
Dinner: 5CUC
Habana is absolutely amazing and I would encourage all to go. The cuban culture is very special and as a lone woman traveler I have never encountered such a respectful, passionate and gentle culture.
I highly suggest you make friends with cubans, and they will take you to the nontouristy spots. Plan to buy them drinks because after all YOU are at a financial advantage and a few cheap beers will gain you a tiny bit of access into a culture that exists fully on networking.
Happy travels!

comfortable twin beds. One room has AC and a refrigerator,
and both rooms have fans. The bathroom is shared, but
is very modern and has a hot water shower. The location
is excellent, just a few blocks down from Plaza Vieja.
Both Alfredo and Martha speak english, and they are
gracious and helpful hosts. Martha prepares a wonderful
breakfast!
