Casa Las Tres Naranjas Trinidad CubaI, Suzanne, and my family invite you to stay at our beautiful B&B Casa Las Tres Naranjas in Trinidad, Cuba! Before you explore the bustling city and surroundings, in our house you can relax in a homey and calm environment. I was born and raised in the Netherlands, but Cuba has played a central role for almost half of my life. My lovely stepmother is Cuban and for more than 10 years her family has treated me like I was one of their own. I and my husband Perry got married here and have started our family here as well. We would love to share our experience living in Cuba and intimate knowledge of the culture. We speak several languages, so you can communicate with us in English, Dutch or Spanish. We can help you with transportation, cultural and outdoor excursions or any other question you could have during your stay in Cuba. The house is located within 10 minutes walking distance from the historical center. That is where you will find all the nightlife, restaurants and museums. As well, you will experience the real Cuban life since we live on a nice non-touristy street. We offer two bright rooms with a large bathroom in between. These rooms are very private as they are located on the second floor and have their own balcony with views of the street or the patio. We live downstairs. Each room has a double size bed and to cool off the rooms include fans, large windows and air conditioning. For families there is one children's bed available as well. And last but not least, you can sit and relax with a nice refreshment in either the patio or rooftop terrace where you can take in a beautiful view of the Escambray Mountains. We will make your stay in Trinidad an unforgettable experience by offering a wide range of activities to discover the beautiful city, the beach, the Escambray Mountains and the historical sugar plantations in the Valle de Los Ingenios. For the active types, we organize outdoor excursions such as biking and horse back riding. For those who are interested in understanding of the Cuban history and culture, I guide the Art & Crafts City tour, History city tour or Historical sugar plantation tour. Several courses can be arranged too. You can feel the Cuban rhythm by taking Salsa or Cuban percussion lessons. And if you want to connect with the locals directly, a crash course in Spanish is possible too. We are looking forward to hosting you soon! Suzanne and Perry makes you feel as if you where at home with a very warm and friendly smile. The casa is a nice one, renewed and painted with really good taste. The patio is a really nice place full of well-kept plants and the rooftop of the house was one of our favourite places in the casa where you can enjoy and relax in the afternoon after an adventurous day in Trinidad! How was your room?: The room was nice, with a window and a balcony where you can sit down, relax and enjoy the sights to the nice patio. The room has an AC and also a fan and an additional bed, where, in our case, we placed all our stuff, so we had enough room for the two of us. The bathroom was also private. We were the only couple in the casa, so we felt very comfy as we could use the fist floor only for us. How was the food they offer?: Suzanne every morning prepared very tasty breakfast with natural juice. Every day the juice was of a different taste: guava, tamarind, mango. Also there was coffe, butter, natural mango jam mad by Suzanne and Perry (amazing good!), bread buns, cake of muffins, vegetables and fruit, like pinapple, mango, papaya and banana. Other services they offer: they offer tours and rent bikes Other comments: The day that we asked for renting the bikes, we couldn't rent theirs, but they offered friend's bikes. They normally charge 5 CUC for each bike, and that time was 6 CUC each because the bikes were not theirs. We would have appreciated that they didn't charge this extra 2 CUC for the bikes. It would have been really nice of them and we would have give them a tip at the end of our stay in Trinidad. But, despite this, all was good! The house was warm, clean and friendly. The rooms are big and clean. There is a balcony too and is absolutely comfortable to sit in and read a book. The bathroom absolutely clean and big. The standard of this place is certainly higher then the other Casas' around Cuba. The big advantage for us was that Suzanne and Perry spoke English. We could talk and discuss so much with them. Absolutely great company to be with. They organised excellent trips for us such as horse riding and Scuba diving. Organised the Collective Taxi for us too to take us to the next town. I must say, I was lucky to stumble onto this Casa and enjoyed coming back to my room and to this house every night. We stayed here for 3 nights. The historic town tour with Suzanne was excellent. Thank you for your insight on Cuba and the history lesson I happily enjoyed. Thanks Suzanne and Perry for your warmth. I will definitely stay at your place if I visit Trinidad again. This was the best casa that we stayed in in Cuba. Suzanne and Perry were wonderful host's. The room we stayed in was comfortable and well equipped with fan and A/C. There are several balconies that lead to the large patio, and rooftop. We felt very welcomed on arrival, and throughout the stay. Enjoy a dinner with them, or let them give you the best recommendations for Dinner in town. You wont be sorry. Clean rooms, perfect view from rooftop terras. Bathroom & toilet perfect; hot water all day. Breakfast: fresh Fruits, eggs the way you like. Nice couple who can tell a lot about the city ( and the habits ;)). Situated near the centre. They provide nice tours. Bonus for those who don’t sprak spanish too well: English and Dutch speaking! Recommended! I stayed two nights at the beautiful casa of Suzanne and Perry and it was probably the nicest house that I stayed at during my entire trip through Cuba! Suzanne is a great host, speaks three languages (or maybe more?) fluently and is very friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the view from the rooftop and the breakfast in the backyard a lot. Perry is a great tour-guide, who knows a lot about the country and the nature and he really takes time for you! Next time I'm in Trinidad I will definitely stay with them again! How was your room?: My room was very clean and tidy and I immediately felt at home. How was the food they offer?: I had two breakfasts there and they were both healthy and delicious. Other services they offer: Both Suzanne and Perry offer guided tours around Trinidad. I only had time for one, but I enjoyed that one a lot. It gave me a unique experience of Cuban people and nature! |
