Are you the type of person who likes getting off the beaten track and discover one of those little treasures where no one else has found? We offer an excursion that can take you to one of those small hidden gems close to Trinidad. Co-owner Perry from Casa Las Tres Naranjas will take you on a bike ride is along the beautiful coastline towards Cienfuegos until we will stop at Julio’s house to park our bikes. Only a short hike away from Julio’s house you will discover a secluded swimming hole and waterfall with lots of lush green trees and a bamboo forest. The beach is near, so you have the option to splash into the sea water as well! Bring lots of water, your swimming gear and an adventurous spirit!

Historical sugar plantations tour in the Valley of the Sugar Mills
With this tour you can see history in an active way! Cyclists who want to cycle less intensively can go only to San Isidro. This sugar cane mill is one of a kind and has much of the facilities intact so it gives you the full portrait of how it was to live on the sugar plantation. A bit more adventurous cyclists can choose to go further to Guaimaro where you can learn about the Borrell family, the richest and most influential during the peak of sugar production. Here you can see and imagine how a sugar baron lived, with their mansion still beautifully preserved and discover artefacts used at the time for sugar production.

Art historian and co-owner of Casa Las Tres Naranjas Suzanne Frijling brings you to the most important historical spots in the city and tells you about the intriguing history of Cuba and Trinidad. On top of that, you will visit off the beaten track artists studios when you can marvel their art and ask questions directly to the artist. Just ask Suzanne for more detailed information!
