Villa Caricia
My review: 2 Days in beautiful Viñales.
Very centrally located casa. Extremely welcoming family felt very at home. Spacious outdoor area to relax and comfortable rooms. Good knowledge of the area and went out of their way to accommodate our needs (this even included helping us arrange further accommodation in other parts of Cuba for the remainder of our trip).

How was your room?: Three girls travelling together and we found the room comfortable, clean and spacious. Good bathroom (powerful hot shower) and well ventilated with a fan and air conditioning.
How was the food they offer?: Delicious food, huge portions and lots of choice (chicken, pork, lobster, seafood). We definitely recommend the lobster! Breakfast set us up well for the day and there was the option of lunch if we wanted it. Best Mojitos in Cuba!
Other services they offer: Recommended tours and activities for us. Complimentary hour long trip to local tobacco farm was provided.
Other comments: Son of family is a doctor and speaks very good English.
We had no complaints will be recommending this casa to friends and family.

Villa Caricia
My review: To see the Viñales Valley and it was a part of a trip to Cuba.
The house Villa Caricia is placed in a quiet place not direct at the main street. The room is placed out of the house and it is OK.

How was your room?: The room is nice and quiet and clean. There is a very good bathroom and there is an airconditioning.
How was the food they offer?: Good Cuban food and I can recommend the fish.
Other services they offer: A trip to the tobacco man René and coffee maker. A call to the next place. Dr. Sergio speaks good English.
Other comments: It is a very good mojito prepared by Sr. Roque. It is a very hospital family.

Villa Caricia
My review: It’s a very nice house close to the centre. The car parking is just a round the corner. Nice backyard, quiet neighborhood and the streets are very clean. Roque, Caricia and their son Sergio are very friendly.

How was your room?: It was clean, cozy and air-conditioned, the beds are very commfortable.
How was the food they offer?: The food was delicious and the portions were big enough.
Other services they offer: The house owner organized a horseback riding trip, whit a tabaco factory visit which was very interesting. Roque prepares good mojitos.
Other comments: We felt at home and recommend it to everybody.

Villa Caricia
My review: Villa Caricia, an excellent casa in Viñales.
We booked this Villa Caricia before we came to Cuba and had little idea what to expect. In fact, Dr. Sergio and his family made us feel extremely welcome and were warm and friendly throughout. They also fed us well, and the room was very good. The casa is only a couple of minutes walk from the main square, so very convenient. I would happily recommend Villa Caricia.

How was your room?: The room was very comfortable with all the essential modcons… bathroom with hot water, air conditioning, fan, comfortable bed. It was scrupulously clean and, importantly, very quiet as it was set back from the road.
How was the food they offer?: The food was typical Cuba food, done well, and with plenty of opportunity of seconds if required. Try the beans made by Dr. Sergios mother… the best in Cuba.
Other services they offer: Dr. Sergio was more than happy to help us to book excursions and also to recommend to us another casa in our next destination. He even called ahead to book it for us.
Other comments: I would recommend this casa.

Villa Caricia
My review: Excellent three nights in Villa Caricia, Viñales..
Villa Caricia is a lovely house just two blocks away from the very center of the town. Dr. Sergio and his family are lovely people who showed us the best of Cuban hospitality. We felt really comfortable talking and sharing with them, laughing and learning about the Vinales region. Next time we come to Cuba (which I am sure will happen) we will definitely stay again in Villa Caricia.

How was your room?: Our room was big enough and very clean. The beds are very big and instead of two, they can easily fit four people. Air conditioning, a fan and windows assure for a cool air all day long. The bathroom is also spacious and there is hot water all day long. No complaints whatsoever.
How was the food they offer?: We have not tried the meals of many different cooks in Cuba, but the dishes of Señora Caricia are definitely some of our favorite! Everything was delicious and in big amounts. You do not only get a plate with one Fish, but also salad, fruits, drinks, soup… When you order dinner you better be really hungry! One dinner portion can easily satisfy two people
Other services they offer: Dr. Sergio and his father know the Viñales region very well. Whatever enquiries you might have, they will answer your question or at least know how to find the solution to it. Picking you from the bus station, talking to taxi drivers, digging up information for you, doing the best to their abilities to help you.
Other comments: Having stayed at different casas in Cuba, I can say that Villa Caricia is definitely one of my (and my girlfriend) favorite! I highly recommend it if you are visiting Viñales. Staying here adds up to the nice experience. The hosts have been renting their casa for almost ten years already and really know their business.

Villa Caricia
My review: Villa Caricia is very close to the centre of town and it is easy to get everywhere from here. The hosts Caricia and Roque are the most welcoming people I´ve met in Cuba. They are so kind and lovely, and they made me feel very much at home here. The food is incredible and they helped me arrange a great tour of the area. Their son Sergio gave me a lot of useful information about the area and speaks English very well. The room is perfect, it´s very clean and spacious with a private entrance. This casa particular made my stay in Viñales very memorable and I hope to return to Villa Caricia in the future for a longer stay. I highly recommend Villa Caricia.

How was your room?: Very clean spacious room with a large private bathroom. It was comfortable with a private entrance with a beautiful garden and patio outside.
How was the food they offer?: The food was absolutely amazing. Caricia is a wonderful cook and all the food far exceeded my expectations. Roque makes delicious mojitos.
Other services they offer: When I first arrived Sergio gave me information about everything I needed to know about Viñales. Later he and his parents helped me book an amazing horseback tour of the area. They also offer great company and conversation.
Other comments: I highly recommend Villa Caricia.

Villa Caricia
My review: We were very satisfied with the accommodation, the room was clean and comfortable with large bathroom. The members of the family Sr. Roque, Sra Caricia and Dr. Sergio are very friendly and helpful and it is a real pleasure to stay in their beautiful house. They were ready to advice whatever we asked for and also they also helped us to organize tours and trips.
The meals were delicious and plentiful. Fathers mojito is highly recommended.

Other comments: The owners reserve the terrace facing the garden for the guests. They are generous, helpful and delightful hosts and I would recommend this casa without hesistation.

My review: A wonderful casa in Viñales.
I had a wonderful stay at Villa Caricia. The casa is very central, the food was plentiful and delicious, the room was very comfortable and the family were very kind and welcoming.

How was your room?: Very clean, comfortable and spacious with a nice bathroom.
How was the food they offer?: All my meals were really good. I was given a choice, and it was accompanied by many side dishes, all of which were delicious. Rogue also made me a mojito which was one of the best mojitos I have had in Cuba!
Other services they offer: The son of the family, Dr. Sergio, commented with me about the differents places to visit in Viñales and he offers good massage.
Other comments: The family were very welcoming and helpful, it felt like a home away from home. The son of the family is Dr Sergio, who speaks very good English. Me gusta mucho! I would recommend this casa. |
