Casa Gloria
My review: Gloria is a very nice lady. She came to the bus station to get me and was very helpful in helping with he different tours available in Vinales. Her son drove to the Gran Caverna de Santo Tom᳠and she knew a guide for a walking tour n the Valley. The room was comfortable with air conditioning and private bathroom with shower. All very clean. Gloria's cooking is AMAZING and she gives more than you could eat. On the day I left I asked her if I could get fruits for my bus trip and she even prepared a ham and cheese sandwich for my morning travel.

HOSTAL GLORIA
My review: Hello we are a couple who were in Hostal Gloria, during the month of May, and we express our disappointment that we are unhappy with the deal they offered the lady of the house. Apparently a lady with a smile from ear to ear when you receive it, but as you go and you're rejecting them offering things, you become a nuisance, we feel so bad that we were about to leave, had it not been for the amount of luggage we had.
First offered horseback riding, when he told us we saw what it did not fit our budget and prefer a walk on our own, there began pouting that continued when he rejected the third meal that followed and since were taking advantage of leftover fruit and salad overnight. We know this because my colleague rightly made a mark on a piece of mango, which mysteriously appeared on our breakfast, and also happened at our dinner. When we were served breakfast cheese was dry, and that happens when you save an entire night in the fridge, which made us enter a disgusting impressive since we started thinking that took advantage of the food that other tourists had left the house.
Gloria, I think what you charge for everything they are offered and sold within the house, bearing in mind that we took a 20 cuc room and some Israelites who were with us 15 cuc for exactly the same, We could have put at least good food and not recycled, is not it? We are outraged that this house appears in several places and not really recommended as you may have overlooked other tourists these details, without regard to find a couple of cockroaches in our bathroom that got into the vanity of his wife and died in.
We found the house through some recommendations and have a website, please is a warning, do not go, I'm sure there are houses much better than the house of Mrs. Gloria.

Casa Gloria Vinales
Casa Gloria, is a feast for the eye. The decor is very vibrant in a kitsch, Cuban sort of way.
Two couples were travelling together and we were made tremendously welcome and given two very comfortable rooms with two beds in each and small but perfectly functioning shower rooms and the food in the evenings and breakfast was exceptional with always a choice of fish, pork, chicken with soup, fabulous black beans and rice, fresh salads and fruit and ice cream. Gloria also makes one of the best mojhito's we had in Cuba. There is a terrace on the roof with fabulous views of the hills and surrounding countryside. A wonderful vantage point to watch local neighbourhood comings and goings.
They have a daughter in law who works as a nurse, but does fabulous manicures and pedicures and there's quite a lot of activity in the house, so you feel like you're really in the thick of everyday life. There's a nice terrace to sit and read, or just stare at the view with one of Gloria's cocktails or a bottle of wine.
Get beyond the kitsch decor and this is a comforatble little gem.

Casa Gloria
Gloria is a wonderful host, very very warm and friendly, she has very very little English, but her neighbour speaks very good English and was very helpful. She cooks very well, the food was very good and always beautifully presented It was a very relaxing stay, Vinales is lovely - and the view from her porch of the Magotes early evening is outstanding. Gloria arranged for us to go horse-riding, made brilliant mojitos, and we had reflexology on her porch!
It was our first experience of staying in a Casa, and something we would very much like to do again.
My only negative would be that it should be made more obvious which meals are included in the overnight costs.
NB: Please please please take care in the shower - I'm really not joking - it would be lethal (220v +water!) if you were to touch the shower head!
Casa style: Quiet, Cozy, Charming, No frills,
Amenities: Airconditioning, Private bathroom,
How was your room?: Room had 1 UK double bed, and 1 UK single, a central light, coatstand, and an aircon unit. The bathroom had a sink, toilet, and shower. The shower was VERY dangerous, - with bare wires open to the water - it sparked a couple of times. It literally was a hose connected to a heater and wasn\'t remotely insulated. Take cold showers or take very very great care.
How was the food the offer?: The food was good - but be sure that you find out before you order what the cost is - a mistake we made. Breakfast is 4 CUC each, and dinner is 8 CUC each. We were surprised not to eat with the family - as that is one of the main reasons we wanted to stay in a Casa - we didn't really want to feel like we were being waited on!
Other services they offer: Gloria arranged for us to go on a 5 hr horse-riding tour of the valley (20 CUC each) which included visiting a local cave, and a tobacco farm. The visit to the tobacco farm, and the drying house was wonderful.
Other comments: Gloria is a wonderful host very very warm and friendly, she has very very little English, but her neighbour speaks very good English and was very helpful. It was a very relaxing stay, Vinales is lovely - and the view from her porch of the Magotes early evening is outstanding.

Casa Gloria
We stayed in Gloria's house for four nights, and everything was very good!
Gloria cooked for us and arranged walking and horse back riding trips. We have nothing to complain about, she took very good care of us and was so helpful all the time!
We said to each other all the time: "I am so glad, that we stay in our street and not her" when we were walking in Vinales. Gloria's street is so full of life, there are children playing, people fixing old cars, people in horse carriages passing by and chickens and pigs everywhere - with the mountains in the back ground. And you can relax and enjoy every bit of it from Gloria's terrace - maybe with one of her homemade drinks at your side.
We also met Gloria's family several times and her sweet little grand child that gave us many laughs.

We are a family of 4 - 2 adutls and 2 teenage boys and we spent our time in Vinales at Gloria\'s Hostal. Gloria was amazing and her dinner was delicious - best food we had in Cuba. Her rooms were clean and very convenient. The terrace is a great place to relax and take in teh fabulus view. She set up a fabulous hike through the farm and mountain area around Vinales for us for us and even organised a ride to our next destination. I would reccomend Gloria and her Casa to anyone visiting Vinales. Wonderful person, and great accomodation and amazing food.

Casa Gloria
A lovely casa. Gloria is delightful and a wonderful host. She is a great cook and we had super and plentiful food. There is a lovely veranda at the front of the house with rocking chairs and a view of the hills. There are 2 rooms and 2 bathrooms. Recommended. Vinales is beautiful and there is lots to do and see. Gloria organised a guide to take us walking for the day and to swim in an underground cavern! You could easily spend 3/4 days here. We also did a day trip to Cayo Levisa, 1 hour's drive away (plus 1/2 hour in boat) which was beautiful.
