Catalina is a teacher of the university level that carries out projects with the National Park Viñales.
Their casa particular is modest and simple but very clean and welcoming where you will enjoy the company of a very kind family consisting of Catalina and her son the futbolista Raidel. Casa Catalina is located in the highest part of town Viñales, it consists of portal, a dining room, 3 rooms, spacious bathroom and a small terrace in the garden. The roof it is made of concrete and is covered internally of an insulating material of the heat and of the coldso the casa always has a very pleasant temperature. From the roof you have a lovely view over the valley of Vinales

Casa Catalina

My review: Casa Catalina is lovely, they take amazing care of you, make incredible food, are lovely people and the views of Vinales must be the best in all of Vinales and the casa itself was extremely comfortable and being away from the mainstreet (maybe 3 minutes walk) means it is very quiet at night.

It is important for people to know that thre internet connection for Cuban people often isn't stable enough to ensure that they see all correspondances on time but they will always be able to find someone with a casa for you to stay in if there's any confusion.

I highly recommend staying at this Casa, you will not regret it!

How was your room?: Clean, with very good fans and a cool air conditioner with remote that could make the room freezing within minutes. A lovely little patio led out from our room into the back garden with two chairs. On the roof you can have your breakfast and dinner with a stunning panoramic view of Vinales, and there are deck chairs should you want to just lie back with a cocktail in between trips around the town and neighbouring countryside.
How was the food they offer?: Huge portions, many courses, delicious and at a price and quality to put any restaurant to shame! Just lovely.
Other services they offer: They know all the possibilities for activities in Vinales, just ask!
Other comments: I would definitely stay there again.

Mirando el Valle

My review: Catalina, her son and their friends are very nice ! We had a wonderful time in Vinales, thanks to their advises. The real view corresponds to the photos, and the dinner is very good.

How was your room?: Clean, with a private bathroom and two beds

How was the food they offer?: Very very good, with large quantities. Chicken, pork, fish...

Other services they offer: Cloth washing, advises to visit the area

Other comments: We knew not much spanish, be they Catalina did much efforts to understand us. Catalina's son and theur friends know english.

My review: Catalina historiadora y profesora universitaria, y su hijo Raidel, guía de excursión al Valle y simpatiquísimo, ambos viven en una casita sencilla pero muy acogedora, tiene todo lo necesario, amplia cocina, habitación con baño y ducha de agua caliente/fría, y balcón con un par se sillones para relajarse... Lo mejor de la casa es la vista al Valle, espectacular! La mejor vista de Viñales! Nada que añadir, fue simplemente perfecto!!!

My review: The stay at Catherine's house was very nice.
She is very friendly and respectful, as well as your child.
The views of the Mogotes, the best in the valley.
We stayed there was a very wise decision, never forgotten.

Casa Catalina - Mirando El Valle

My review: For me it was the best casa particular of Cuba! I was very lucky to meet this family!
In that casa you share the life with cuban people, with all the commodities.
The view of the "valle" with the "mogotes" is fantastic, and you stay in the terrace speaking is so great!
The area is very peacefull, the neighbour very sympathic.
The cooking of Catalina will change you of Cuban food, she cooks very well with savour.
Raidel, Catalina's son, will help to know what you can do in their area, and if you want you can go to the stade with him to see farious sports (football, baseball,basketball...)
It is in the highest part of town Viñales, so you will sleep without problem, because near the place at night they are very noisy music!
My advice is test it, it will be so good...

How was your room?: It was big, very clean,cosy, good beds, a place to ut clothes, the bathrooms inside (very clen, big).
And a little terrace for the room, very appreciable!
How was the food they offer?: The best food in Cuba.
Her food is with a lot of savour, everyday a different plate, and everytime good.
It will change you of Cuba's food.
