Casa Arcoiris
My review: This casa is located at a different and does not have six rooms nor a swimming pool. The casa has two rooms and is reasonably centrally located. It is quieter then the casas in the centrum. The hostess, Lidia, does not speak English but her son in law does. We booked a horseback riding tour through the valley at the casa. This tour was great! The room and private bathroom was clean and spacious. We did not have a lot of contact with the hosts, but that could be on our account. Hablo español un poco. He probado traducir el texto inglés.

My review: The reservation process was good, clear on price and what to expect. Rio came to pick me up at the Viazul station, thanks for that. Viñales gets a little crazy when the Viazul bus arrives, all jineteros trying to get their hands on the tourists.
How was your room?: The room is big, can sleep four people, and had everything one would need.
How was the food they offer?: Excellent breakfast and good dinner. I even had the special of the house: stir fry chicken with pineapple.
Other services they offer: Help with finding tours to fit your needs, I am not a horseback person, so I wanted to see the Valley by car. Rio arranged a driver for a huge part of the day who took me everywhere I wanted for a fair price. Make sure to visit the little Jardin Botanico too across the street at the gas station. I would have missed this without being told by my host.
Other comments: Casa Arcoiris maybe is a little more expensive than your average casa in the village, but has a nice extra: an inflated pool on the rooftop. That is very welcoming after a day of touring in the Valley!

My review: Dear Rio and Familia,
I would like to thank you for the wonderful hospitality we found at your casa privada Arco Iris. We were welcomed with big smiles and warmth, and left the house happier than we came. All thanks to Rio, his family and friends.
We found the house very clean, very cosy, comfortable and with all facilities needed. The house was just 5 min down the road from the main church or the Viazul bus stop. Easy to find, easy to reach. The house also has a pool on the roof, with wonderful views to Vinales and all in all very comfortable area to chill out. The pool definitely has some magical powers, as you will get wet even if you don’t want to! So grab some beers or ask for a mojito and get first to the pool before it gets to you :-)
The breakfast offered by Rio were masterpieces. Any 5* hotel would be proud of Rio pancakes or omelette. I work in tourism, so I know what I’m talking about. And Rio promised for next time to have some French truffles for the ommlete. Ask him about them, he should stocked them already.
Rio was very helpful, gave as various options of to do things. The first day we arrived he gave us an excursion of the area with his old style American car. He organized for us a horse riding excursion to tobacco farm and local farm. Also offered to do the rock climbing. Which we did instead of going to the beach and that was the very best thing we did. It was an amazing experience especially for my wife who was on the rock with ropes for the first time. He made a very informative presentation how to do it, supervised and help to each of us to get to the top. This attraction is highly recommended!!!
Also he organized to us a full day excursion to Cayo Jutias with requested Lada car. It was our best beach day as we walked 20-30 min away from the main area to find a wonderful wild beach on sand peninsula called Playa de Estrellas. One of the best days on Cuba during our trip.
The time we spent in Vinales we will remember with joy and happiness. Thank you Rio and Familia!!!
With best regards from Vilnius.

My review: We throughly enjoyed our stay at this Casa, the family was very welcoming. Rio spoke fluently ENglish which was a bonus for us. Great breakfast and cold drinks are provided. Our room was lovely and bright and hot showers. wE did think the breakfast was a bit over priced compared to other Casa we stayed at. We would recommend anyone to stay here.
How was your room?: Colourful and comfortable.
How was the food they offer?: Great food, and was happy to have pancakes in the morning.

Casa Arcoiris
My review: We stayed in Vinales for 3 nights in December 2014. We stayed in Casa Anna Issa, which is next to Casa Arcoiris. Rio, the owner of Arcoiris, managed that for us. He showed us great support and hospitality during our stay, he showed us around and took us for an adventure trip with his car. Rio was really helpful with arranging the horse riding tour for us. The casa we stayed was also very beautiful, the owner Anna Issa is a friend of Rio and we felt really at home during our stay. Nice food, nice place to stay and very nice people. We would definitely stay here again!
