Me and my girlfriend stayed at Manual's Casa. Incredible apartment, clean, safe and Manual was the greatest host. If you want to stay in a Casa Particular/Apartment in Havana look no further Casa Manual is the one. I travel a lot and I did a lot of research and I'm very picky Casa Manual is 10 stars. The place is cleaned every day, spotless..
I could go on and on, but loved Casa Manual, Cuba and Manual. All the amenities listed on Cuba Junky for Casa Manual are 100% correct as are all reviews posted. Viva Cuba!

For our very first visit to Cuba, my boyfriend and I chose to stay at Casa Manuel de Armas due to its outstanding reviews. The apartment was ideal for our stay. It is situated in Habana centro, within walking distance of Habana Viejo, Parque Central, the Hotel Nacional and more. We felt perfectly safe in the neighborhood and equally at home in the apartment. My boyfriend particularly enjoyed the fact that it was located on the third floor.
The best part of our stay at this casa particular was, without a doubt, our host. Manuel provided the most gracious welcome. Not only did he keep the apartment simply spotless (cleaned every morning), he went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable and happy with our stay. Manuel is also (naturally) very knowledgeable about the area, and provided us with great recommendations on entertainment (i.e. the Cabaret Parisien), cautioning us on local safety concerns, and even took us to a very local music show at a nearby cafe (something out guidebook could never provide). Choosing to stay here and getting to know Manuel was one of the highlights of our trip.
Altogether, casa Manuel is a place we would recommend to anyone traveling to Havana.

This casa is great! It is securely situated well above the street in Habana Centro, affording a great view of the neighbourhood. The balcony provides a private, tranquil setting for an evening beverage with your travel companions (or with Manuel himself). The apartment is not large, but its layout is well planned, allowing amply room for up to four guests.
The casa is clean and well furnished. The beds, couches and chairs are comfortable, which will ensure restful sleep and relaxation. Your bathroom will be cleaned daily and you will note that the floors are always spotless, and your surroundings, dust free.

How was your room?:The room contained a queen sized bed that is more than suitable for two people. It contained a closet with security box (not that you'll need it), a ceiling fan, A/C, and a mini fridge (with a few complementary drinks for the guests).
How was the food the offer?: Manuel offered breakfast daily. There was fresh squeezed juice, seasonal fruit, eggs, bread and butter, jam, delicious coffee/cream and tea. The price was set at 5CUC and was ready at the time of our choice.
Other comments: Manuel was like a "Cuban Father" to us! He took us to some of the sites in Old Habana and even spend the afternoon at "Arte Habana" for some local music and comedy.

Mágnifico apartamento en el Centro de Ciudad de La Habana, y mágnifico arrendatario que te ayudará en todo y te hará sentir como en tu propia casa. He estado allí alojado prácticamente en todos mis viajes a Cuba y siempre repito por la atención que recibo y la calidad del alojamiento.
