Casa Havana Senses was build last century and has all elements of an authentic 100 years old Spanish colonial house in Havana-marble stairs leading to a spacious dining and living room with well conserved beams of wood of the 5 meters high ceilings, columns with arches, high doors with stained glasses, colorful mosaics on the floor /with it’s marks from the time/, long balcony overlooking the street and a big roof terrace with a view to the city. Capitolio, Bacardi building and the dome of the Presidency could be seen from here.
We offer you 3 rooms with air-conditioners and private bathrooms, decorated with antique, colonial furniture, double beds, equipped kitchen on your disposal, as well as spacious dining and living room and a roof terrace.
Teresa-our mom, who will take care of you is living in one of the rooms.

Casa Havana Senses

My review: I stayed two times in this casa, when I arrived and after my trip to Vinales. I went back because I couldn't imagine to be more secure in Havana, or with more attention than what I received from my hosts in Casa Havana Senses.
The house is beautiful colonial house and they are trying to preserve the original style while at the same time exhibit very nice pictures of Cuban artists, which created a special atmosphere.
There is kitchen if you need to use.
The best is the dining room and the hall which are very spaciuos and seems like all the guests like to hang out there-I met many interesting people.
The big roof also has a great view and the artistic decoration they were working on is very promising.
The staff is amazing-Ulises knows every place and event one should not miss while in Havana.
Teresa is keeping all the house in perfect condition.
Both of them helped me a lot with all my needs in Havana.
Th location is also perfect-it is minutes walk to Malecon and Prado respectively to Havana Vieja and a walkable distance to Vedado. At the same time you are not in the touristic epicenter and you live with the local people, which for me was very important.

How was your room?: Rooms are clean, comfortable, wit air-conditions and private baths. There is wardrobe and coquetta
It has all you might need in your room. Baths looked pretty new.

How was the food they offer?: Teresa prepares the best breakfast I tried in Cuba. Lots of fresh fruits and fresh juice, eggs, ham, cheese, bread, coffee, milk, my favorite guayaba jam.

Other services they offer: Laundry service, arranging taxies in Havana and in the province. Welcome drink-Cuba Libre upon arrival.
All kind of advises what to do and see in the city. Reservations for restaurants etc.

Other comments: I do have plans to return to Cuba and I will definitely stay at Casa Havana Senses, I already feel at home there! Ulises is also a very good contact for meeting artists in Cuba, which is of a personal interest for me.
