My review: Estuve con una amiga en mi ultima etaoa de un viaje fantastico de 3 semanas por Cuba.
Lo que buscamos todos los turistas: una casa que este cerca del centro, que este limpia y en la estar comodos y agusto despues de una "dura" jornada de turismo.
Sin duda esta casa lo cumple todo
How was your room?: Amplia, buena ventilacion, muy luminosa, con una terraza de infarto donde echarse una buena cerveza y tener una buena conversacion con los propietarios, personas tremendamente amables que nis trataron como si de miembros de su familia se tratase. ..

La habitacion tiene una cama de matrimonio y una pequeña

How was the food they offer?: Solo tomamos el desayuno..buena ensalada de frutas, zumo,pan..etc..buen desayuno
Other services they offer: Su propio hijo nos hizo de guia por las zonas naturales. Es biologo y apasionado de la biologia. Todo un lujo. Pasamos dos dias enteros con el, sin mirar el reloj (estuvimos todo el dia). Fantastico
Other comments: Buen alojamiento, excelentes anfitriones.

My review: Durante mi estancia en Cuba he estado en 7 casas diferentes y casa Ramón estaría entre las dos mejores.

La casa está muy bien situada cerca del centro de la ciudad y de aquellos servicios que precisas....internet, cadeca....... . Se accede en línea recta al centro y no tiene pérdida.

En cuanto a la casa es muy acogedora, disponen de una habitación independiente muy confortable con una amplia terraza privada para los huéspedes la cual se disfruta sobre todo después de una jornada de excursión.
How was your room?: La habitación es muy confortable, muy espaciosa con mucha luz, aire acondicionado, frigorífico y baño incluido. El baño dispone de una buena ducha. Todo muy limpio.
How was the food they offer?: Hemos disfrutado de unos desayunos estupendos, todos los productos eran frescos, pan del día, zumo recién exprimido...........Mima sabe como complacer el estómago de sus huéspedes .
Other services they offer: La familia te ofrece todos los servicios que necesites, desde organizarte una excursión, buscarte un taxi, asesorarte sobre los restaurantes sitios de ocio....zonas a visitar....., toda la información que el turista necesite.

Ramón hijo es biólogo y tiene amplio conocimiento de las distintas especies de la zona por lo que te prepara unas excursiones en las que disfrutas muchísimo y te transmite su pasión por la naturaleza.
Other comments: Es una familia muy acogedora que te hace sentir como en casa, muy serviciales, dinámicos y muy comunicativos. Se vuelcan totalmente con el turista.

My review: Grâce à Fidel, fils de la famille Ramon, mastère en biologie et grand connaisseur de la faune et la flore cubaine, nous avons pu avoir une promenade/découverte guidée particulière de plus de 5 heures dans le parc "Alejandro de Humboldt" en nous faisant partager son amour pour la nature. Oiseaux, sauterelles, la plus petite grenouille du monde, ainsi que des petits escargots de différentes couleurs et plusieurs espèces de plantes à fleurs (orchidées, fougères). Il nous a fait partager sa passion.....
Nous avons partagé un très bon moment.
Merci à toi Fidel !!!!

My review: Ramon and his family are very nice and kind people. They will try to help in any way possible. Ramon speaks English and helped me learning Spanish.
How was your room?: The room is great and clean. It includes an aircondition, a fan and a refrigerator. You get a whole floor including a huge terrace.
How was the food they offer?: Ramon's wife Reinalvis cooks very good. Her food is really delicious. She is able to cook the typical Baracoan style.
Other services they offer: Reinalvis will wash your clothes, if you ask her nicely and Ramon creates a plan if the weather in Baracoa is bad. Their son works at the parque Alejandro de Humboldt. There might be a chance that you get your own personal tour guide.
Other comments: I really enjoyed my stay and if I ever go to Cuba again, I will stay at Ramon's place

My review: Nous sommes arrivés le 12 mars 2016 dans l'après midi. M.Mme RAMON, nous ont accueilli avec un verre de jus de fruit (une attention très agréable)en nous disant "mi casa y su casa" Ensuite il nous a fait visiter notre logement.

How was your room?: La chambre était grande avec un grand et un petit lit. Tout était parfait et très propre, ainsi que la salle de bain.
La chambre avait un réfrigérateur avec plusieurs boissons a notre disposition.
Le tout donnant sur une terrasse très ensoleillée avec table et chaises, pour un bon petit repos.

How was the food they offer?: Mme RAMON est une très bonne cuisinière, et nous avons eu le choix pour nos deux dîners, entre trois plats proposés. Mon petit pêché mignon "bananes en rondelles frits" sans oublier les grosses glaces pour le dessert.

Le chocolat au lait du petit déjeuner n'a pas son pareil pour vous mettre en forme pour toute la journée.

Other services they offer: Le fils de la maison Ramon, nous a emmené visiter le parc "Alejandro de Humboldt" une promenade de plus de 4 heures en nous faisant partager son amour pour la nature. Ramon nous a montré des oiseaux, des sauterelles, la plus petite grenouille du monde, ainsi que des petits escargots de différentes couleurs et plusieurs espèces de plantes à fleurs (orchidées, fougères). Il nous a fait partager sa passion.....

Other comments: La famille RAMON a su nous faire apprécier la jolie ville de BARACOA.

My review: The location is excellent, the hosts are great people, the room is large, clean and quit

How was your room?: The room was spacious, good beds, clean, air-condition, hot and cold water
How was the food they offer?: we had breakfast and it was very good
Other services they offer: Ramon gave us a lot of tips, we had great conversation and he also took us to the center and explain about the different places. His Son has a lot of knowledge on the park and can take you there to exploration trips

My review: Casa Ramon fue mi como mi casa en Baracoa, la atención que me dieron es de agradecer, en ningún momento te sientes un turista, te hacen sentir como uno mas de la familia. Recomiendo comer en la casa pues Mimi ( la mujer de Ramon ) es una excelente cocinera, no dejar de probar el pescado o la langosta en salsa de leche de coco. La habitación es muy confortable, con baño completo, al salir de la habitación tienes una terraza bastante amplia y cuando el sol no es fuerte apetece estar allí tomando una cerveza bien fría. Recomiendo casa Ramon al 100% yo en cuanto tenga la ocasión de volver a Baracoa lo tengo claro. Desde aquí le mando besos y abrazos a la familia.

How was your room?: La habitación es grande y confortable, con baño completo, agua fría y caliente. Y aire acondicionado que se agradece cuando hace calor.
How was the food they offer?: La comida es abundante y muy buena, Mimi es una gran cocinera. Sobre todo recomiendo el pescado o langosta en salsa de leche de coco, es un manjar.
Other services they offer: Ofrecen todos los servicios ya que si ellos no pueden te lo consiguen.

My review: Casa Ramon was recommended to me by the owner of the house where I stayed in Holguin--the casa particular grapevine.

I arrived early in Baracoa by the collectivo jeep system on the northern road, and so was not able to be picked up at the stop by Ramon, the owner of the casa particular. No matter, Baracoa is small and the house centrally located. I rolled my suitcase there, asking for directions along the way.

Ramon and Reinalvis, and their son Ramon Jr., were very kind and friendly hosts. They enjoyed talking with me and sharing information about what to do in town.

How was your room?: My room, a large and airy, simple space with two double beds and a full bath, was one of two rooms for guests located on the roof of the house. It was light, airy, and squeaky clean. Outside my door was a table and Adirondack-style chairs that made a very comfortable outdoor living room for reading and watching the world around me from a second floor point of view.

How was the food they offer?: I am a vegan, and the hosts were happy to prepare my breakfast (included with the cost of the room) in a way that accommodated me--fresh bread, fresh fruit and fruit juice, jam, and coffee.

The dinners (available for 5 CUC more) that I enjoyed were ample servings of rice, beans, a salad, and freshly prepared malanga, which I quite enjoyed.

Other comments: It was a very cozy home, and I felt welcome there.

My review: Super nette Hosts! Sehr bemüht um unser Wohlergehen. Wir haben jeden Abend in der Casa gegessen. Das Essen war im Vergleich zu den anderen besuchten Casas am besten. Wir konnten eigene Wünsche äußern.
Aus der Dusche kam genug Wasser zum Duschen ;-) Das Zimmer hat viele Fenster, so dass das Zimmer über Nacht gut abkühlen kann. Einziger kleiner Nachteil, das Bett ist sehr hart.
Der Sohn der Familie war mal Führer im Parque Alejandro de Humboldt und ist gerne bereit, eine Führung durch den Park zu leiten (kostenlos!).

How was your room?: Das Zimmer hat viele Fenster, so dass das Zimmer über Nacht gut abkühlen kann. Einziger kleiner Nachteil, das Bett ist sehr hart. Aus der Dusche kam genug Wasser zum Duschen ;-)

How was the food they offer?: Sehr gutes Essen!

My review: This is a very good place to stay in Baracoa. Ramon and Mima and their family are wonderful hosts. They are very friendly and supportive. The food is vey good, and they are sociable, friendly and interesting people. We have nothing bad to say about our stay with them, only good stuff.

How was your room?: Comfortable and private

How was the food they offer?: Mima is a very good cook, who puts flavour into her traditional menus.

Other services they offer: Laundry service was very helpful.

Other comments: Wonderful place to stay!

My review: Bueno, realmente me encontrè muy bien, me atendieron de maravilla. El desayuno es rico, el tè de la Señora Mima es algo de unico asì el cafecito. Ademas el Señor Ramon es un optimo conversador. Ramoncito (el hijo) es un tremendo biologo.

How was your room?: La casa es como yo la quero, el cuarto - independiente - es grande con entrada privada y con terraza con parabandas, el baño regular con agua fria y caliente, el aire acondicionado bueno, la limpieza de todo es esemplar-

How was the food they offer?: La cocina rica y muy delicada, Mina cocina muy bien. El Señor Ramon (junior) es disponible por qualquier hayuda (es. llama oficina de imigracion, confirma billete aereo, ecc

Other comments: Consejo a todo el mundo que va a Baracoa de ospedarse en casa Ramon. No se arrepentiran palabra del Franco el cartero.

My review: Es un ambiente familiar muy agradable. Excelente la antención al turista. Preparan la comida que tu quieras y es también excelente. La casa esta ubicada en un lugar de fácil acceso a los diferentes sitios turísticos. Es seguro y muy cómodo.

How was your room?: Excelente. Con aire acondicionado, agua caliente, etc. Muy cómodo.

How was the food they offer?: Excelente. Es muy deliciosa, a la hora que tu prefieras y lo quieras comer.

My review: Three weeks spent to discover Cuba, from west to east.
Many visited regions, about fifteen “casas” frequented
Only one regret: not have stayed longer in Baracoa, who is one of the most charming cities of the island
And at Ramon and his wife Mimi and their son, Ramon Jr, who are the nicest people we knew during this stay
Ramon speaks much better English than my Spanish, what allowed us to appreciate more still the simplicity and the kindness of this so warm family

Casa Ramon

Casa Ramon is a home away from home.Ramon and his wife are two of the loveliest people you would ever meet and this was a fantastic stay in a lovely home.

Baracoa is an excellent town to visit with many local attractions and if you are staying here then look no further than Casa Ramon - you won't be disappointed.

Breakfast was amazing (we didn't eat lunch on those days!) dinners were also lovely and varied and we shared many laughs and stories with Ramon and his family over coffee and a few beers.

Ramon speaks very good english and went out of his way to help us with restuarant recommendations, getting money out from the bank, local excursions and generally wasthe consumate host.

I highly recommend a stay at Casa Ramon - Ramon and his family are lovely and you won't be disappointed.

How was your room?: Large, clean, perfect for the two of us.

How was the food they offer?: Fantastic - fresh fruit, great coffee for breakfast
Lovely dinners with prawn dish my favourite!

Other services they offer: Ramon's cousin Tony is a taxi driver and drove us from Santiago de Cuba over the mountains in his taxi for 150 CUC return - he also drove us to many local attractions for about 20 CUC per day.

My review: I've traveled in January 2014 all over the Cuba and Casa Ramon is definitely one of the best places I've stayed! Ramon and Reinalvi are super nice hosts - Ramons speaks very good English which is very useful (and very uncommon in Cuba too) while planning your stay in Baracoa, he's also former sailor so he can tell you thousands of stories from all over the world. His wife Reinalvi is excellent cook - I happen to be a vegan which I guess makes me difficult customer when it comes to food - but it wasn't a case at Casa Ramon, since Reinalvi was making specially for me different vegan meal everyday - and you can tell that food in Baracoa definitely is the best in Cuba, some of the fruits and dishes can't be found anywhere else!

When it comes to rooms Casa Ramon is perfect too, since casa was opened few months ago so everything is new and clean, you have in the room everything you need. If you plan to travel all over the Cuba than Baracoa is the place you must visit, it's much more exotic than other parts of Cuba, and once you are in Bararoa than Casa Ramon is the place to stay!
