Casa La Terraza Rafael & Adis
My review: rafael and i have communicated since early 2015, as i was planning to return to baracoa ever since my first visit in sept 2014 and he has been so very helpful throughout that time. once my plans were made for june 2016, i reached out to him, hoping to stay in his beautiful house, in one of the three rooms that he rents. because his casa is so popular, tho, he didn't have room for me, but no worries, he would find me another wonderful family and he did just that--at casa carina. i knew that i could depend on him to take good care of me. he also helped me find a wonderful young woman as a guide, and as a former english teacher, she spoke great english! ask him about nilet :). and, he also helped me exchange my usd for cucs at a very good rate, which i appreciated since americans are still charged an exchange tax by the cuban government, of 10% :((. thank you, rafael!
you will not find a more knowledgeable and helpful resource in baracoa. and, he shares that information in a friendly and kind manner, which makes him a pleasure to deal with. go, enjoy and tell him that pam sent you :))
How was your room?: although i didn't stay at his place, i did take a tour and it is beautiful. and,the top floor terrace is a really nice place to relax and enjoy your breakfast or beverage.

La Terraza de Baracoa
My review: The casa was awesome and Rafael and Adis were very gracious hosts. There is plenty of room to just relax if you choose to do that. The terrace was beautiful with great views in all directions and we enjoyed our meals there. It is very clean.
How was your room?: My room was great, with air and a fan,two beds and plenty of hot water.Did I say clean,VERY.
How was the food they offer?: The food that Maria prepared was excellent and plentiful. They serve many vegetables and lots of fruit. The service was over the top.Maria also helped us with directions to local sites. It was a pleasure to stay there.
Other services they offer: A fridge full of water, beer and other things that you helped yourself to and added to your list to be paid at the end of your stay. This really saves time and energy of looking around for these supplies.
Other comments: This was the best casa that I have stayed at in Cuba and it was well worth the trip.We enjoyed a breeze every day on the terrace.I never saw one mosquito.

Casa La Terraza (Rafael y Adis)
My review: Great casa in the heart of Baracoa. I spent six nights and it was a perfect stay. Lovely hosts and family. Very hospitable, kind and used to having visitors. The housekeeper María is a real treasure and an excellent cook. The Laundry service she offered was as well perfect. The rooms are spacious, modern and comfortably furnished and have a private bathroom. Everything is very clean and well maintained. The casa has a nice roof terrace with a great view over Baracoa and the ocean. I enjoyed the rich and delicious breakfast and dinner there. As the casa is located in the center of Baracoa, you can get around easily on foot, nevertheless it was very quiet as the casa is located in a side street. In short, I can recommend the casa and would come at any time gladly again.

My review: This casa is a nice spot in lovely Baracoa , 50 meters out of the town centre. Rooms are spacious, light and clean. Breakfast is served outside and is of very goor quality. And when you need a rest, there is the comfortable roof terrace. Rafael and Adis are kind and helpfull people. I enjoyed my days in Baracoa and in this casa. You better make a reservation if you want to be sure. Baracoa is a busy place.
