Canalcubano: This restaurant is actually part of the Matanzas province but we included it in Santa Clara because it is close to this city and visited by many tourist who travel there. You will enjoy a good criollo kitchen, especially if you order chicken or pork and other dishes that are hard to define. The place is pleasant but should be avoided if you see busses parked outside.

El Louvre

Canalcubano: To be seated in El Louvre is to go back to the past. It is situated in front of the Central Remedios Square, patrimonial village and National Monument. It was the 8th village founded by the Spaniards early in the XVI century, and the only one in Cuba with a high altar veneered in gold. They offer plain creole food, but some special dishes can be ordered.
