Casa Javier y Katia

My review: My son, his girlfriend and I stayefd in the casa for two nights in January. We had not reserved this casa, but when we got to the one we had reserved they were unable to accomodate us so we were met by Katia who took us under her wing. The casa was wonderful, we had seperate rooms with seperate bathrooms, and a very lovely courtyard for eating our dinners and breakfasts. The rooms were very clean and cool for sleeping. It was close to the square and downtown so very easy to get around. It was my son's girlfriend's birthday while we were there and Javier got flowers for her which I thought was a very thoughtful gesture. Javier was an incredible host who was extemely helpful and spoke English relatively well. We stayed at his casa on our way out of Cuba, so we could get one last day with Javier and family.

How was your room?: My room was very comfortable and I was quite pleased with the temperature. I had both a fan and an air conditioner. The water in the shower was warm, but I don't think it would matter as it was so hot out.
How was the food they offer?: Javier was our cook and the meals he made for us were incredible. There was lots of food and it was fresh and prepared quite nicely.
Other services they offer: Javier made our reservations for the bus to go to Trindad, he confirmed our reservation in Trinidad, gave us great directions to see the sights of Santa Clara and arranged cabs to take us to the airport and the bus station.
Other comments: Javier and his wife were a lovely couple and were very helpful of rour first days in Cuba and our first visit to Cuba. Javier was so helpful that he made the our first days seamless. I would highly recommend this casa.

My stay in this hostel was wonderful. Breakfast is delicious and Javier is a nice cook with lots of talent. Dinner was excellent. He is a great guide and guides you around all beautiful places just like you want it. The house is very clean and the tourist has a separate full appartment with a little terrace. I loved my stay there and will go back this year in December.

How was the food they offer?: The food was excellent! Never had such a good tasting cuban dish.
Other services they offer: the owner is a very good guide, he knows all the beautiful sides of his country.
Other comments: the owners are a very nice couple and take good care of their guests.

Casa Javier y Katia

My husband and I stayed at this house for a week. This is a great house, very comfortable and clean. The hosts are wonderful people, willing to help and answer any questions. They speak English well which makes it easy to communicate. They gave us keys to the house upstairs, which consists of a bedroom, a dining room, kitchen, living area and bathroom. There is also a little private patio where you can sit. The bedroom had 2 beds, and air conditioning. The kitchen includes a refrigerator. The bathroom always has hot water. The location is very convenient, on one of the most central streets of the city and very close to Parque Vidal and shopping areas.
