Casa particular located in the heart of Santiago de Cuba just 60 meters from the Plaza de Marte and 250m from Park Cespedes. We are a professional couple in Santiago and rent 4 spacious bedrooms with air conditioning. Each room has a double bed and personal bathroom, hot and cold water, minibar, air conditioning, TV, electricity 110V and 220V, and one of the rooms has a small terrace and one has a kitchen. The casa also has a cozy terrace where you can see a stunning view of the city of Santiago de Cuba ideal for finding a peace of mind to read, relax and share with family and friends within the central location of the casa. Optional services are offered breakfast and dinner where you can taste the Cuban dishes. Also Spanish courses are managed, dance, etc.. If you prefer we can pick you up at bus terminals and airport, and we talk English. The casa is very close to the main shopping, money exchange, banks, museums, historical sites, cultural and nightlife. Hostal Raul y Kathy

My review: Hostal Raul y Kathy: My son and I stayed three nights in this particular. The room had two beds, air conditioning a private bath and a fan. The room was in the basement, but had a window. The top floor has a great view of the city. The room and entire particular was spotless and everyone was friendly and helpful. On arrival we had no clue about the next particular, transportation or even how to make the arrangements. Raul stepped in and made phone calls to the next three particulars as we traveled to Havana. He also made taxi arrangements. He made our trip much easier and we will be forever thankful. I have since referred another Californian to Raul, they are presently making arrangements to stay at this hostel. Thank you Raul. Jarrod and Roberto Ramsey-Lewis.

How was your room?: The room was clean an quiet, a rare room in the middle of Santiago.
How was the food they offer?: The food was good and timely.
Other services they offer: They do laundry, travel arrangements address all questions, even from Californians' with limited Spanish language skills.
Other comments: Raul and his family are an example of wonderful Cubans. We again thank them for all there help and we will continue to direct our fellow Californians to this hostal.

My review: Second time to cuba and we use nothing but casas. Raul is a wonderful host as are his wife Kathy and also his parents who started the casa 25 years ago. Accommodation. was great and the food was wonderful. Location was superb, just around the corner from Plaza Marte. Raul was very patient with us and helped us with our needs and endless questions. he can help arrange taxis etc and as with most cubans was very knowledgeable. Without question, I would urge people to visit Santiago de Cuba and why would you want to stay elsewhere.

Raul & Kathy Hostal

My review: Raul y Kathy is a wonderful casa in every way. They are located within easy walking distance from the major sights of the city. The room was large, clean, bright with private bathroom, clean linens and refrigerator for our use. Raul and the staff were polite and helpful, eager to be of assistence with information and suggestions. We ate several meals at the Casa's rooftop terrace. The ambiance was perfect accompaniment for the excellent dinners we enjoyed while overlooking the city.

How was your room?: Excellent

How was the food they offer?: They had a good variety of menu offerings and all were delicious, very well prepared and presented.

Other services they offer: Arranging taxi service for an early morning leaving. Advice regarding events such as the musical presentations in various places in the city.

My review: The casa of Raul and Kathy is my favorite Casa Particular in Cuba. The owners are friendly, helpful and nice. The service is extremely high quality and the view from the terrace where you can eat breakfast and dinner is a beautiful view of the city of Santiago de Cuba and the Sierra Maestra Mountains.

How was your room?: The rooms have air conditioners, are very clean, the bathrooms are nice and well kept and the beds are comfortable.

How was the food they offer?: All the food is wonderful and they have several different options for dinner. They serve a large breakfast of juice, coffee, tea, crepes, bread and jam, fruit and eggs.

Other services they offer: They can serve as your concierge for your stay in Santiago. For us, they recommended places to eat and were able to set up day trips for us as well as transportation. They also have a cool artistic map of the city center on their terrace.
