Casa Yaneisy
My review: We could not have found a better place to spend our holidays in Trinidad: Casa Yaneisy is a wonderful, secret world in the heart of the city, were you can relax and enjoy the sun and the view over the city and the mountains on the roof terrace, and slumber in the hammoc in the shadow of the patio, surrounded by fruit trees, flowers and colibris. Yaneisy and Manolo are loveley, warm and helping people, but also knows to respect your peace and privacy - and you can trust them with anything. The food they serve is fresh, well-made and abundant, and the coffee, directly from the Escambrays, is exquisit. We stayed two days longer than planned, finding it very hard to leave this little paradise!

How was your room?: The room is beautiful, clean and quiet, with fan, airconditioning, private bathroom and a hot shower, and is opening out to the lovely patio.
How was the food they offer?: Very good food, better than all the restaurants we visited eat in!

Casa Yaneisy
My review: This is a great place to stay - perfect location in storical city center, close to restaurants, but very quite. Lovelly small teracce, where you can just relax. It is so peaceful.
Bust the best have been our host: Yaneisy and her families are so caring. 5***** !
We also stayed in 4* and 5* Hotels in Cuba - but out best time we had in Casa Yaneisy - best food, best service, best cleaning, most friendly people.

How was your room?: The Rooms were very clean, also the bathrooms.
How was the food they offer?: The food (both breakfast and dinner) was just fantastic.
Ask for lobster - you will not eat any better in Cuba. Or the fresh fruits for breakfast. But also the rest was just great.
Yaniesy is a great cook!
Other services they offer: They found us a private parking (indoor) directly in city center, just a few meters from her house - and the permit to get into citry center which is normally blocked for traffic.
Other comments: If anyone stopps you before you get to casa Yaneisy and tries to convince you that for some reason (bath broken, hosts sick, whatever) the casa is not availalbe: DO NOT BELIEVE IT, the just want to sell you another, worse casa.

My review: We had a fantastic stay at Yaneisy. We booked via Cuba Junky, via whom I was able to create a suprise for my girlfirends birthday on the day of arrival. Cake and music, in a very cute setting in the middle of Trinidad. I would advise everyone to stay here. Very friendly family, excellent food and a perfect spot!

Casa Yaneisy
My review: Fantastic casa, I can only second all the positive things previous reviewers have said. Yaneisy is really friendly, kind and we loved feeling like we were kind of part of the family's daily life, even if only as observers. Room was cozy and totally adequate, AC was good and you even had your own little fridge for drinks (in both rooms, I believe). The highlight was both the gorgeous garden, the gracious hosts, the superb location... and yes, the FOOD. Definitely the best we had in all of Cuba and the portions were sooooo generous, so as the previous reviewer said, make sure you're hungry at dinner time!!
I can wholeheartedly recommend Yaneisy's casa and already have to friends who are planning to travel to Cuba.
Thank you Yaneisy, once again, for everything!
PS. If you feel like escaping from the rather touristy center of Trinidad one sunny afternoon, make sure to head out to Playa Ancon for some locally flavored beach time.

Casa Yaneisy
My review: Great location, good room, our own private patio with hammocks and even a balcony with rocking chairs for sundowners. The home cooked food was without doubt the best we had in Cuba, much better even that the five star resorts. The lobster and garlic shrimp are an absolute must, and make sure you're hungry as the dishes are many and large. Breakfast is $4CUC and lunch/dinner is $8CUC so great value too. You get your own fridge, there is a fairly useless fan but efficient aircon and the casa is super safe.
The highlight was Yaneisy herself. Super friendly and helpful, didn't stop smiling even with a 6am Sunday breakfast. Darn it, even the parrot made us feel at home. It does help to have some Spanish as her English is limited.
Overall you will struggle to better this Cuban experience. It was the the perfect place to stay and the highlight of our travels in Cuba. Highly recommended.

How was your room?: Great, double and single bed so good for friends travelling together or a small family. Small bathroom, towels & paper provided but you'll need toiletries.
How was the food they offer?: Absolutely the best we had in Cuba - cheap, plentiful & delicious!
Other services they offer: Yaneisy is happy to give advice on anything from places to visit to travel plans. The more Spanish you speak the more you can take advantage of her local knowledge.
Other comments: This should be top of your list for your stay in Trinidad.

Review
The best stay we had in Cuba. Good location with a room, private bathroom and a huge terrace. The quiet inner yard with birds singing is like an oasis in the old town. Although the hosts could not speak English we could communicate very good and they made us feel comfortable and safe. We have been served brilliant food as well.

Review
Casa Yaneisy is a great place to stay in Trinidad. The location in the heart of the historic district is hard to beat. They have a nice courtyard and garden area as well as a roof top deck to watch the sunset. We were a family of 5, 2 teenage girls and a 9 yr old boy, so took both rooms which were very cool and spacious. Yaneisy and her family were so welcoming and fantastic hosts, the food was always very good and plenty of it. We spent 3 nights here and it was very relaxing. They had a garage for for our rental car (2cuc per day) which was perfect as most of the time we walked every where. Although it is located in the historic district is was very easy to get to Playa Ancon which is well worth a day to laze around on the Caribbean coast.

Review
This is a lovely casa with the most pretty backyard and sweetest hosts. We spend 10 days here, had great food and relaxed in garden. Yaneisy organized salsa lessons with Rosita in the backyard. The perfect salsa teacher! Yaneisy and her husband offered to babysit our son whenever we wanted to eat or relax. Great place for couples with kids.:o) We will absolutely recommend this casa!

How was your room?: Lovely room with huge windows out to the garden. Nice bathroom. It all seemed new.
How was the food they offer?: Great food! We had breakfast and dinner there for ten days and some days even lunch. Plenty of tasty fish dishes and side salads.

My husband Jan and I stayed here already 2 times. In 2009 we cycled 9 weeks through Cuba as a honeymoon holiday and we stayed at least 2 weeks at Casa Yaneisy. Due to the fact that we were so enchanted by such a wonderful place and family we decided to come back in 2010. Also then we stayed at least 2 weeks. It is a wonderful place right in the centre of old Trinidad. Yaneisy and her family are very lovely and warmhearted people. They will do everything to make your holiday a wonderful experience. She is an excellent cook and you should really try full board !!! Jan and I enjoyed a lot ! Also the situation of their casa is perfect. In the evening you can easily walk to the Plaza Mayor to listen to the many different Cuban bands or if you want to dance just shake your hips.It! s only at 5 minutes from their house.
So yes we will come again, because everything is perfect. The 2 rooms are very nice and clean and also very spacious. We liked it that you have an own bathroom and also the patio or sun terrace is super. We already know that we will go back again to them, because it a wonderful place to discover.

How was your room?: Our room was fantastic. There are 2 rooms but we always took the one closest to the family of Yaneisy because we like the contact with them.
We had a big bed and even an extra bed and a separate bathroom with was kept always very clean by Yaneisy. And of course we also like the patio ... Wonderful !!! Having always breakfast, or even lunches and dinners outside is super. Imagine : nice and fresh food, the sun ... and colibri's close to you. That's Casa Yaneisy ! There is also another room which is a lot spacier, also has a separate bathroom and even a separate sun terrace and patio !!!! Also to recommend to people !
How was the food they offer?: The food was great !!! Always ! In the morning you always receive freshly squeezed juices, fresh fruit, nicely cut on a large plate, bread, eggs, jam ... Wonderful ! And in the evening or during lunch you can always choose !!! And yes, my husband and I think Yaneisy is the best cook of all casa's in Cuba.
Just try it and then you will confirm our words.
Other services they offer: They will try to help you as good as possible. If you have laundry or want to iron something just ask them !!!! If you want to visit something, please ask them for advice. You need a taxi, or you want to take a bus, they will help you !!! They really want you to have a wonderful holiday on their island !
Talk to them, please and you will see how great they are.
Other comments: Jan and I would recommend Casa Yaneisy to everyone, because it's really a wonderful place for everyone who wants to get into contact with the real Cuba.
It 's a very nice casa, the people are wonderful and very warmhearted, they are very enthusiastic about their beautiful country, their music, their life !!! So please go there and taste some of their Cuban lifestyle and will come back again. We can guarantee you that.
