Hostal Jorge y Neisy
My review: This is a lovely casa with both hosts (Jorge and Neisy) making lots of effort to ensure that your needs are met. The casa is comfortable and clean, and my room was serviced every day for the 6 nights I stayed there. There is much attention to detail and the decor is extremely bright and cheery. I also liked the fact that there were many places to sit outside whether on the rooftop or beside the swimming pool. Jorge mixes refreshing cocktails and both are happy to assist with any arrangements you would need.

How was your room?: Bright, comfortable and spacious with two double beds.
How was the food they offer?: Delicious, freshly prepared in massive quantities.
Other services they offer: Laundry and assistance with calling taxis. Assistance is also provided with activities such as salsa.
Other comments: I sprained my ankle in Trinidad and feel very grateful to Jorge and Neisy for the assistance and support.

Casa Jorge y Neisy Trinidad
My review: Just great. A wonderful welcome - English spoken (Neisy), a clean and comfortable air-conditioned spacious room; lovely courtyard and terraces, even a bar and pool and we must say, really lovely food. There is nothing we can criticise at all. Jorge and Neisy have a wonderful place just a short walk from the historic centre and they attend to everything you need. Many thanks to you both and hope to see you again.

Casa Jorge y Neisy
My review: i travelled with five friends and we loved it!!.. the hosts were friendly and helpful. i would definitely recommend this casa .. they have a pool and a bar and its a beautiful spot to come home to after a day of sightseeing.
its clean and i felt safe and i would have loved to have stayed for longer.

How was your room?: our room was fine .. no complaints at all .. we had 2 double beds an ensuite and air conditioning . all very clean .
How was the food they offer?: the food was lovely and fresh . every day they asked us what we would like for dinner and then they would prepare it.... we ate fresh fish everyday washed down with jorges cocktails
Other services they offer: jorge is a great bartender and is very generous with the rum :-)
Other comments: if i ever come back to cuba ..i'll be staying here !

Casa Jorge & Neisy Mendez
My review: Wonderful, Fabulous, Incredible...... can you tell we loved staying here.
Jorge & Neisy are two of the kindest hosts one could ever ask for. So attentive, they made us feel like old friends immediately. So much so we back tracked on our journey just to stay with them a again.
Neisy met us at the bus with a bike taxi, this was greatly appreciated due to all the people heckling us to rent their Casa. We had a large very clean room with our own bathroom, very comfortable beds. The best part of this Casa is the wonderful patio with a very nice & clean pool, a lovely dining area, a colorful roof patio, and last but not least a bar. Jorge makes a mean Mojito! We ate every breakfast and dinner here... because after one meal here we knew we would not find better food anywhere else in town. I had Lobster for dinner all 8 days we stayed there, delicious! Breakfast was considerably ample; plenty of fresh fruit an juice, great coffee, eggs how you like them and so reasonable.
We can't wait to visit again... hopefully soon. Be sure to say Hi for us. Enjoy!

Hostal Jorge Y Neisy
My review: We arrived in Trinidad by Viasul bus and Neisy was at the bus station to greet us. We took some bicytaxis to the house since it's cheap and was easier than walking all our luggage.
The casa is very spacious and well appointed. In the back yard you will find a beautiful bar and 2 tables underneath a thatch roof where we had our meals. You are surrounded by cement walls that are painted with sceneries on them. There is a shower in the far corner and the pool is almost ready (it's ready now). This is the first and only private pool we have seen on our many times to Cuba. You go up a spiral staircase from the back yard or the inside of the house and you'll find a very large patio, again with painted walls and many different areas to sit and enjoy the sun or to watch the Cuban life going on below on the streets.
The meals were incredible as were the drinks. Jorge who was a chef in Havana and in Veradero is very proud of the meals and drinks he makes you. He tastes every drink with a spoon before he gives it to you and always asks if you need more rum. The best drinks we have had in Cuba. As for the food, the breakfast always consisted of fresh juice, fresh fruit, coffee, omelets, bread and butter, cheese. A very good start to every day. The dinners were incredible. We had shrimp, pork and lobster twice. My wife and I have been to Cuba about 25 times so we told Jorge that his food was superior to any food we'd had in any of the hotels we had been to. Knowing we were going to a 5 star for the first time I wasn't sure this would still apply, however after a few days at the resort I thought, yes Jorge's food is better. By the way, after talking to Jorge and Neisy and telling them we know and love Cuban food he started making Cuban dishes such as Congris. Ask him to make it for you! if you want to try it.
The house is very close to everything such as plaza mayor, old Trinidad etc. Just to the left of the casa is a small Cuban pizzeria where you can get a pizza for 6 pesos Cubano or about 10 to 15 cents Canadian. Try it you'll like it. It makes a great and cheap lunch. Across from the Pizzeria is one of many bars within walking distance. Since we were there in the summer plaza mayor had music and videos projected on to a wall and it seems that everyone, especially the young people were out late dancing and having a good time. We stayed out until 2:00 AM one night just enjoying the music and people watching.
We took a taxi to Playa Ancon one day and had a wonderful time. Neisy suggested we go to the falls nearby so we could cool off but we ran out of time. Next time we will make sure to try this.
Both Jorge and Neisy were wonderful hosts and we highly recommend this casa if you go to Trinidad.

Casa Jorge Y Neisy
My review: We specifically chose this casa based on the food reviews we read about on Cuba Junky as well as the pictures of the beautiful rooftop deck. We were not disappointed! The casa is very close to Parque Cespedes and a 10 min walk to the bars and Plaza Mayor. Jorge and Neisy are excellent hosts - they even arranged for transportation from the bus station. Jorge made us the best mojitos we had in Cuba (he even hand-chips the ice from bottled water to order!). Neisy was very warm and friendly - always smiling and even offered us salsa lessons! The dinners we had were outstanding - by far the best meals we had in Cuba including a flavourful soup and the best lobster we've ever enjoyed (so fresh and accompanied by a delicious herb butter). Three delicious courses for 10 CUC! Breakfast! was also very tasty with a wide selection of fresh squeezed juices, fresh fruits, eggs, ham and toast. The room was spacious and clean as was the private bathroom. The rooftop deck was gorgeous as was the lower deck near the bar (where we spent the most amount of time eating and drinking). They were repainting while we were there - you can see the care and attention they've invested in making it someplace really special. The only downside was the air conditioner took some time to render the room cool and the shower was a bit weak but these would not deter us from going back. We only stayed 2 nights but I would definitely come back for a longer stay. Muchos gracias por todo!

Casa Jorge y Neisy
My review: We have stayed two nights at Jorge y Neisy casa. The location of the casa is very good, walking distance to all amenities (bank, food market and Plaza Mayor). The room has two double beds, clean bathroom with toilet, lavabo, shower and table/stand to put the suitcases. Jorge and Neisy are good casa owners, Jorge cooks good meals to our request,Neisy made arrangement for our trips and both care for our confort the whole time.
We recommend Jorge y Neisy to all travelers who want to stay in Trinidad.

Casa Jorge and Neisy
My review: My son and I stayed for two nights with jorge and neisy and we found it was the best experience of our two week stay in Cuba. They are such friendly and hospitable people, nothing was too much trouble. Our rooms were comfortable with a shower and toilet. The food was good some of the best we had and we were offered a choice for our evening meal, with cocktails in the patio. The roof garden is amazing with wonderful views of the surrounding countryside. Jorge and Neisy were very helpful about places to see and good with directions. Do go to the waterfall!
We both felt very comfortable staying in this house and would strongly recomend it to all.

How was your room?: My room was clean and comfortable with two beds a separate toilet and shower. Bedside table and light so I could read.
My son had a real problem with his shower but Jorge and Neisy said they were about to get it fixed.
How was the food they offer?: Food was very good breakfast with fruit, juice, coffee and eggs how we wanted them. We had our evening meals there and we were offered what we would like which was brought in fresh sea food really well cooked.
Other comments: Just really to repeat how much my son and I enjoyed our stay with Jorge and Neisy and their family and to thank them for their hospitality which was exceptional.

We were 3 persons and stayed 7 nights at the Hostal. We had 2 big and clean rooms with aircondition and Neisy cleans the romm every day. The hosts a very friendly and flexible. Jorge is a great cook and his cocktails from his private bar in the patio are even better. You will find no better place to smoke a cigar and have a mojito than in the patio or on the big terrace on the roof. And if you need a refreshment to can always jump in the pool, Jorge's biggest pride. The hostel is very central and with Coco Taxi you can get to the beach, also for Scubadiving, very quick and cheap.

Review
Excellent casa!! Very nice owners! We had dinner 2 evenings and also breakfast in the morning. Both were excellent, very nice to sit outside and great cook. Location is also good, close to the center. Also a pickup at the bus station was arranged which is handy with a lot of people waiting.

Review
Just from the street it looks different than any other house near by. La Casa Jorge y Neisy is like real resort in midtown. Even the street is pretty busy, we didn't hear any noise because rooms are far away from the street. And house itself is amazing! Inside this mini resort is beautiful garden for breakfast or dinner, bar with cocktails, huge terrace with wall paintings, and swimming pool..everything looks very nice!! (check the pics)
We cant consider this place as a casa particular with all services they provide. They have cooks, plumber, mechanical..you can wash your laundry or even repair your clothes.
Jorge was working many years in hotel industry so he knows how to provide good service for his guests.
He is an expert in making cocktails, so don't forget to ask him to mix up something special ;).
His wife Neisy is very kind and very happy person. She speaks English and she knows many things about area around Trinidad so she can provide you with many useful hints.
La Casa is located just block away from Parque Central and around 10min's by walk from main attraction Plaza Mayor. There are many shops near by (fast food, cadeca, bank, internet cafe, the best icecream spot in Trinidad..).
The food was delicious and room is big enough, with comfortable beds and nice bathroom.
The photos we took in this casa will definitely give you a clear picture of this casa.
Thank you Jorge and Neisy for all your effort to accommodate us. It was a pleasure to be your guests and we will definitely recommend you to everyone.

we were in Trinidad 3 beautiful days .. and the Hostal of Jorge & Neisy is simply fantastic. It is located just 5 minutes walk from Plaza Mayor and very clean and each room has 2 large double beds and private bathroom. The owners are kind and wonderful kitchen. There is a beautiful central patio where you can enjoy the fantastic cocktails made by Jorge.
I would warmly recommend this place to anyone as it was such a great experience and I would love to go back again!!
