My review: I wish I could review this casa. I had made a reservation directly with Marielena and exchanged emails confirming dates and even phoning her from Havana the day before we were due to arrive to confirm the time of our arrival, however, the bicycle taxi she sent to the bus station took us to another casa. They told us Marielena had 'got confused' about our dates so she had sent us to her 'family' to give us accommodation. This was not a typical Cuban Casa - it was very modern and had several dangerous features and it was more expensive. My husband phoned her to ensure that this was not a scam that she had forewarned us about but she confirmed that she couldn't accommodate us as she was full and had got our dates confused. Absolute rubbish. We had really looked forward to staying in a traditional casa with Marielena and her father. She had spoilt what was to be a really enjoyable experience for us without so much as an apology.
