My review: The casa is very pretty. It has an annex with separate entrance, a big double bedroom, a nice bathroom and a small area with a fridge (very well stocked with water and various drinks).
The garden is also really special. There is a patio area where guests have their breakfast and a mature garden with beautiful trees (from where the fruit we ate for breakfast came).
There is also an area with chickens (that we tried on one of the evenings!).
We received a welcome drink (tamarind juice) as soon as we arrived and a little present when we left (some handmade necklaces).
Breakfast was big and full of nice things. A lot of fresh fruit, bread with butter and jam, sausages and so on. We also dined there one evening: we only told the owner what we wanted as a main dish and then she prepared a delicious 4 course meal, with a lovely soup, lots of vegetables, cake and so on. It was great and much cheaper than a restaurant (and also much better!)
The atmosphere in the house was fantastic. The owner, Mrs Marisol, her daughter and the whole family were incredibly nice and made us feel part of the family. Everyone was relaxed, always smiling, willing to help and we had a lot of fun there.
We thoroughly recommend this casa. For us it's the best on in Cuba!

My review: Staying at the Borrell family's house was one of the best experiences of our trip. The warmth and kindness of the family members made our stay the most pleasant. Unlike the "business" feeling we got from other casas, here we felt at home. Mrs. Marisol Borrell was, beyond question, the warmest host we encountered during our trip. The patio, framed by dreamlike vegetation, offers a fantastic spot to relax and enjoy the lovely weather of Trinidad. The house is located at walking distance from the must-sees of the town. We would definitely stay here again!
