Casa Carlos
My review: A lovely welcoming couple and a delightful colonial house in good location close to the centre. The casa was immaculately clean and, although the two downstairs rooms and bathrooms were rather dated and lacked ventilation, the upstairs rooms were modern and well equipped and one even had its own outdoor space with chairs. Breakfast was excellent, freshly prepared at any time and generous. The upstairs roof terrace was a real bonus. We did not eat an evening meal in the casa as we preferred to explore the paladars in Trinidad, but those who did were happy with the food.

How was your room?: We changed rooms after two nights to accomodate other guests - clean and comfortable. Upstairs rooms better ventilated but less quiet.
How was the food they offer?: Breakfast excellent.

Casa Carlos
My review: This is more like a small boutique hotel than a Casa and we had a great time here and would definitely recommend it. The Casa has three bedrooms available to guests and we stayed in the bedroom on the first floor (2nd floor for USA) which had its own patio area with table - we were given the choice of whether we wanted breakfast / dinner on our patio or in the main dining room. The Casa also has a roof terrace where you can go up and have sundowners. The roof terrace also has sunloungers and a swing bench, so if you fancy you can spend your time up on the roof, you can. The rooms in the casa are set back from the road and so you do not hear any noise from the street at all. The breakfasts are very good with loads of food, and in addition to the spread of fruit, juice, coffee, eggs an! d bread they do a very good ham and cheese sandwich. We ate at the Casa most nights ˆ the food was superb. The only reason we did not eat there every night was that we were in Trinidad for a week and so wanted to sample some of the other restaurants that Trinidad had to offer. I would definitely recommend this Casa

How was your room?: Double be (queen) with ensuite bathroom which was very well fitted out. Fridge also in the room. The room we had opened up to its own patio, where they served us breakfast and dinner.
How was the food they offer?: Breakfast and dinner - both fantastic. Dinner we had fish and lobster. Very good quality and generous portions
Other services they offer: Helped to organise taxi both to local attactions and for trip back to Havana

This are the nicest people ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Really charming and easy the get on with.
They speak English so if u dont speak Spanish its a big diffarence.
Very good food, and a lot of it :-)
There is a couple of balconys so ask for the room with balkony
We stayed for 7 seven days here and the next time will not go anywhere else.
Melvis & Carlos are the best :-)

Review
Beautiful casa, big room with double beds, beautiful private bathroom. Garden and roof terrace. Very near Parque Cespedes, 10 min walking from Plaza Mayor. Safe parking on the street.
The food was really excellent, big portions and good quality. So was the breakfast, even including yoghurt ans lots od bread.
The place was a bit noisy, due to the very loud TV of the neighbours
