In the western area Sierra del Rosario, World Biosphere Reserve, 80 km away from Havana, surrounded by beautiful vegetation. It is the ideal spot for nature lovers; it is renowned for a stunning 21-meter waterfall and is home to Cuba's largest orchid farm.
Soroa is often called the Rainbow of Cuba because at certain hours, it is possible to observe a small Rainbow at the waterfall as the sunlight defuses through the mist. The river waters have mineral and medicinal properties and their temperature is low.
