CanalCubano: A description of this nightspot could be brief because of its mere 3 x 10m size. The bar alone takes up half the space, while the kitchen the other half. Nevertheless, there are two aspects that make it stand out. Firstly, it is one of the only places which accepts both currencies. Secondly, this mix allows for a genuine Cuban atmosphere with a live band playing traditional Cuban rhythms. It does not matter that the only four tables are located along the curb, the standing-room-only crowd likes it just like that. The lively evening entertainment offers an opportunity to meet plenty of locals, and the musicians mingle with the crowd, as if throwing the party themselves.

CanalCubano: Since 1991, this discotheque located in the Hotel Tuxpan has been known as the place to dance to a variety of sounds including salsa, merengue, danza and disco. Most visitors to Veradero find their way here during a stay. The open bar serves both Cuban and imported drinks. It has a capacity for 500 people and offers a "matinee" from 2pm to 8pm, when prices are slashed. Open bar: USD10.

CanalCubano: It is part of the Varadero International Hotel Complex, and opens from Tuesday to Sunday with a variety and musical show. The place switches to a disco once the show is over.

CanalCubano: In the last floor of the Xanadú mansion-museum is placed the nicest and most beautiful coffee-bar of Varadero. A pretty bar with a mahogany roof. It faces to the sea.

CanalCubano: Even if it is a difficult task, in a place like Varadero, not to bump into some foreigner, a lot of tourists are still looking for places where they can experience authentic Cuban night life. La Comparsita is one of this places. Performers are talented solo singers, salsa groups and comedians. It also provides a piano and karaoke bar where prices are good and service starts on afternoon until late at night. Casual atmosphere.

CanalCubano: This place is located below street-level on one of the busiest intersections in town. The bartender tends from a concrete bar, and the large space allows for plenty of tables out in the open beneath blue and white awnings. A side stage dominates the space where shows and musical performances take place, usually at night. There is a food kiosk on the corner selling light fare of hamburgers, ice cream, beer, wine, rum, whiskey, vodka, and cocktails. There is an easy access ramp for physically challenged customers. Motorbikes and bikes can also be rented here.

CanalCubano: This place creates the atmosphere of 1940's and 50's and features live shows and disco music.

Frommers: is very similar to the Habana Café in Havana's Meliá Cohiba. The nightly cabaret and review show is top-notch, with a crack band laying down smooth Cuban rhythms. When the show ends, the circular sunken dance floor is one of the more happening discos in town. Admission is $12, including your first drink; reservations are recommended.

CanalCubano: Owned by the Dársena marine and located on the outgoing road towards Matanzas. It´s a poorly decorated disco, without any luxury and even lacking any kind of sound and light display. Nevertheless during some week-ends it gets crowed with young and tipsy locals dancing passionately. Very Cuba! Very latino!

CanalCubano: A Spanish fort from the 17th century is now an open-air cabaret staging small shows. Vines and ferns embellish the spacious nightspot dotted with tables. On Tuesdays, it's cabaret night, the rest of the week it's a disco. The clientele is generally young, so the atmosphere is lively. Its proximity to El Barracón café and an improvised game room effectively puts it the category of an entertainment complex open round-the-clock. Beverages are served including Cuban rum and mixed drinks. Entrance is per couple; there is a minimum cover charge of USD3.
