eclectic Ambos Mundos Hotel in Old Havana was built in the late
1920's and it is an intimate and cozy place that stands out because
of its history.

the early 1930's, the American writer, Ernest Hemingway, stayed
in this hotel and, in the room 511, he wrote the first chapter of
For whom the bell tolls since he found the hotel "a good place
to write". Nowadayas, the room the writer had, keeps some of
his belongings and the Plaza de Armas restaurant serves his favorite
dishes. Ernest Hemingway's room 511 is open for visitors.
Besides,
the hotel Ambos Mundos has a wonderful rooftop bar-restaurant that
has exquisite grilled food and the best of the views.
The privileged location of the hotel, downtown, makes it an excellent
place to admire the values of the old part of Havana city.
