The hotel Occidental Miramar is a good 4-star hotel with a beautiful swimming pool the complex is located in the heart of Havana's sophisticated Miramar neighborhood, surrounded by old mansions and tree-lined avenues.

A relaxed location next to the sea and with easy access to the city center of Havana by shuttle bus or taxi. Within walking distance of Havana's Aquarium and Miramar Trade Center.

MIRAMAR PLUS: Accommodation & breakfast, PLUS beach, culture and history: daily access to Club Habana beach and visits to Old Havana, with return shuttle bus and lunch, locker room, beach towel & drinks.

Location & Map

Only hotel on Havana's most famous avenue, "La Quinta Avenida", in the city's residential and diplomatic district. At 20 minutes from Havana's José Marti international airport.

Hotel Ocidental Miramar

Hotel Ocidental Miramar deserves well 4 stars.

Stayed there only for a night, my last night before leaving Cuba, but all and everything was nice.
I booked a package in the travel agency in, or next to Hotel Sevillia. The package included transportation to Varadero, two nights in an all inclusive beach hotel(Hotel Sol Club Sirenas ) and transport back to Havana, to the hotel Ocidental Miramar. This hotel was a suggestion of the travel agent, with a special price of around 80$! Good choice:
Its a fairly new building in Miramar, so not in the center of Havana, but this does not matter, as taxis bring you everywhere and to enjoy the relative silence there has some advantages too.
The Hotel Ocidental Miramar has a very good service and friendly employees, nothing wrong with this point. I liked the evening live music sessions, salsa music of course, in the bar area very much. Your chance to move your hips and dance salsa!
The pool is gigantic, it is not just one pool, its a scenery of different connected pools in a big area outside, a bit fresh the water though, but even there you have attentive staff, who efficiently ask and take your orders and serve a very good pizza and drinks at the pool side.
You even find a little shopping mall in the building, internet is there and a counter to change or draw money with your credit card within minutes. Rooms are spacy and well equipped and nicely clean!!
All in all a perfect place to stay, relax and enjoy your last 24 hours, before your plane takes of from Havana airport, which is just 15 minutes away by taxi.
Truly 4 Stars !
Can highly recommend this hotel, have to mention, that the price is in the upper region though.

PAYMENT & CANCELLATION POLICY

The hotel reservations require prepayment. Your credit card will be debited within 24 hours after making your reservation. The charge will be in EURO currency and your bill will state: www.ctnres.com. The total charge includes all room charges and taxes, as well as fees for access and booking. Any incidental charges such as parking, phone calls and room service will be handled directly between you and the property. Your reservation is guaranteed for late arrival.

Once you have paid for your reservation, the following cancellation policy applies:
If you cancel the reservation 72 hours before your intended arrival date, we will refund you the total amount that you paid for your reservation, minus the amount of 15.00 EURO for administration fees. If you cancel the reservation within 72 hours or less of the date of arrival, we will refund you the total amount that you paid for the reservation, minus the amount of the first night of your intended stay for no-show charges.

We will not make refunds to credit cards, other than the credit card that was used for your booking. We may process refunds via wire transfer, in which case we will deduct any bank charges from the refundable amount. We aim to process refund within 72 hours after receiving your refund request and required information.

Accommodation is usually available from 14.30hrs on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 11h00 hrs on the day of departure. The number of guests in each room is limited to the number of beds provided by the hotel. Rates are inclusive of value added tax.
Whilst every effort has been made to ensure accuracy and availability, some errors might still occur. Once aware of such incidents we will make all reasonable effort to advise you within 48 business hours of the booking being made. We reserve the right to cancel the reservation and refund all monies paid, but this of course will be without any liability to you.
