Casa Jorge Silvio
My review: I was at Jorges casa several times. From the beginning everything was perfect. Warm hospitality, comfortable and spacious rooms and excelent service. Now is a great friend that I have a special affection because all my visits to Havana he has been able to give me the best advice for visiting the sights of the city.

Casa Jorge Silvio
Staying at Jorge's Casa in Centro Habana is a delight, after the hassle and hussle in Habana Vieja. Certainly, the accomodation can't match with the luxury of the Hotels in the old city, but the host, Jorge Silvio, makes the difference. He makes his casa your casa. Instead of a hotelclerk trying to sell you the excursions, the Hotel gets commission of, Jorge makes your holiday experience as customized as you want it to be. If you need support, he will give it. If you don't, he won't. Which makes him an excellent host. For my trip to Santa Clara and Trinidad, he even arranged two excellent casas.
Another great service is breakfast. You know, in hotels you can have breakfast between 7.00 and 10.00 am. Well, if you're on a holiday, it can happen that you wake up at 10.01 am. In my case, they wouldn't make me breakfast anymore and it's almost impossible to get breakfast anywhere on the streets. In Jorge's casa the breakfast service includes, that anything after 9.00 am goes ! He made sure I got my daily vitamines, carbs and tasty Cortado.
Besides a good host, he also became a friend, who gave me great insight in his life and Cuban society in general.
If you want luxury and meet exactly with your expectations go to the old city or an all inclusive resort. If you want a personal experience in Habana stay at Jorge's !

It is a gayfriendly guest house in the centre of Havana which is open to heterosexuals. Very comfy and stylish rooms with private bathrooms and air conditioning in the popular area of Havana Centro. Jorge, the gay landlord will do his most to give you your best holidays ever. He is a very cultured man who can give you many tips about Cuba and he is very knowledgeable about gay life in Cuba.
If you have a lover you can take him to your room without any problem. I had the best holidays of my life and stayed 3 weeks. Jorge is now a friend.
