Casa La Casona de Conde

My review: We were disappointed by this casa which was the worst one we stayed in during our Cuban trip (there were four others in other cities). The bed was very uncomfortable, even by Cuban standards and the sheets were made of a very rough material. The fact that there was building works going on and that the builders and casa owner continued the work whilst drinking rum into the small hours didn't help us to sleep either. The bathroom was also quite musty despite the room being new. We felt a little uncomfortable hanging out at the casa because of the overbearing owner. To illustrate what I mean by this - whilst we were eating our dinner the casa owner began to play his guitar and asked us if we liked Cuban music, when we said yes, within five minutes a 3-piece band had materialised to sere! nade us - we were the only diners - which we found quite awkward. The owner kept asking us if we liked the music, and after 3 or 4 songs we were pressured into buying their CD for 10CUC. The dinners and drinks were slightly more expensive than others casas we stayed in, and when we were given the bill at the end of our stay, the adding up was incorrect as it was 10CUC more expensive than it should have been.
